VIDEO: 2 men wanted for violently assaulting MTA bus driver in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities released a video of two men wanted for violently assaulting an MTA employee in the Bronx on Monday. 

Police say at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 54-year-old male MTA bus operator exited a Bx 27 bus to on a check on the condition of a school bus blocking his path on the corner of Boyton Avenue and Westchester Avenue in the Soundview section.

Thats when the two suspects engaged the bus operator and proceeded to punch him multiple times before fleeing in unknown direction, according to officials.

The victim sustained swelling to the right eye, forehead and bruising to his knee.

EMS transported the victim to Westchester Square Hospital in stable condition.Authorities urge anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
