4-alarm fire in LI shopping center burns through 5 businesses

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 4-alarm fire in a Long Island strip mall burned through five businesses, officials say.

The blaze broke out at the Cedahurst Shops on Central Avenue in Cedahurst at approximately 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Authorities say five shops inside the shopping center including a restaurant, pizza shop, a pharmacy and a cleaners sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
