NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A tweet from the city of New York's account urging women to wear their masks to avoid catcalling was posted and then deleted on Wednesday.

"Wear a face covering and never hear someone tell you to smile again," the tweet said.

Bethany Biron, a reporter for Business Insider saw the tweet and was able to capture a screenshot before it was taken down.

"Lol @nycgov just deleted this but don't you worry, I got a screenshot so you can all marvel at what is truly one of the worst pandemic tweets I've seen to date," Biron wrote.
