U.S. Copyright Office still accepting bright ideas online during coronavirus crisis

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Remember that bright idea you buried in the closet a few months ago? Well, dust off those old plans and flush them out while you're stuck at home.

"The U.S. Copyright Office continues to be open through our website copyright.gov for online registration, searching copyright-related records, and learning about copyright topics. We are also receiving registration applications and recorded documents sent by mail," the office has said in an announcement.

The office has created a webpage with answers to your specific copyright questions regarding special handling during the COVID-19 outbreak, effective dates of registration, search and certification services, and other matters.
