NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A New York City woman and police are pleading for the public's help after a toy poodle was stolen from a car in Manhattan two weeks ago.
Teddy the poodle was dognapped on the evening of Dec. 1, police say.
The dog's owner, 28-year-old Fifi Ho, tells the New York Post that she left her car unlocked when she stopped at a restaurant near Walker and Baxter streets in Chinatown with her boyfriend.
She came back to find her car empty, and it has been a “nightmare” ever since.
Ho says the pooch is like her baby and that her world has been shattered.
“I couldn’t sleep well. I couldn’t eat well,” she told the Post.
Police say surveillance video shows the thief taking the 6-year-old, cream-colored poodle away in his carrier.
Ho is offering a $2,000 reward for her beloved dog back.
Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
