NYPD car's brake line cut in apparent act of vandalism in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A vandal or vandals cut the brake line on an NYPD car in Brooklyn over the weekend, according to a report. 

Two police officers were on patrol near Linden Boulevard and Van Siclen Avenue East New York on Saturday when they heard a popping sound and discovered a cloth wrapped around an axle on their car, the Daily News reported

Brake fluid was leaking from a hose connected to the vehicle, according to the report. Police are investigating the incident as an act of vandalism, the outlet reported. 

No one had been arrested in connection with the incident as of Monday morning. An investigation is ongoing.
