NYPD search for a man they say robbed 3 synagogues, 1 church in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD are searching for a man they say robbed three synagogues and a church in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. 

Officials say the robberies took place during a five week span in the months of February and March. 

The suspect stole $250 from a donation box at a synagogue located at 27 Lee Avenue on February 9, then later the same day, took $250 and office supplies from the Transfiguration Church at 240 Hooper Street, police said. 

According to police, the suspect stole $600 and office supplies inside a synagogue on 469 Bedford Avenue on March 12, then hours later entered a different synagogue on 171 South 9th Street via an unsecured elevator and removed approximately $400 and office supplies before fleeing in unknown direction.

The person wanted for questioning is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 30-40 years of age.

He was last seen wearing a black cap, black jacket, gray hooded shirt, blue jeans and tan shoes.
