Obama breaks silence on coronavirus outbreak: 'We have to look out for each other'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Barack Obama has chimed in on the country's increasingly spreading coronavirus outbreak.

The former president on Thursday night shared an article from Vox.com titled, "How canceled events and self-quarantines save lives, in one chart: This is how we all help slow the spread of coronavirus."

Obama shared the article, writing, "If you’re wondering whether it’s an overreaction to cancel large gatherings and public events (and I love basketball), here’s a useful primer as to why these measures can slow the spread of the virus and save lives."

He concluded, "We have to look out for each other."
