NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A plane was evacuated at Newark Airport due to a possible fuel leak Friday morning, according to authorities.
A United flight was getting ready to leave, when the pilot was directed to move from the runaway to another section of the airport.
United Airlines Flight 2251 was scheduled to depart at 9:56 a.m. for Mexico City.
The Port Authority had buses placed to move passengers after they got off the plane.
The reason for evacuation was not officially determined yet, and may be a fuel leak.
