NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrest a candy vendor in a Manhattan subway station on Tuesday night and it was captured on video.

A group of police officers can be seen attempting to arrest 26-year-old Byron Shark at the 125th train station in Harlem.

Footage shows Shark on the floor with officers hovering over him as witnesses are heard yelling out at police in his defense.

"You didn't even read him his rights!" is heard among the shouting.

An NYPD spokesperson said Shark was spotted selling candy on the northbound platform of the station and was repeatedly asked to hand over his identification but refused.

Police say Shark was charged with obstructing governmental administration and violation of local law charges,

Shark is the 22nd unlicensed vendor to be arrested for selling in the city's transit system this year.
