NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has expanded its recall of some Healthy Choice frozen meals because the products may contain rocks.
Officials said more customers complained to Conagra Brands that they found small rocks in their Healthy Choice bowls, leading to an expansion of the recall.
The recall, first announced in early April, now affects more than 138 tons of products.
According to the USDA, “The scope of this recall has been expanded to include Healthy Choice Power Bowls Chicken Feta & Farro Bowls, Healthy Choice Power Bowls Unwrapped Burrito Scramble Power Bowls, and Healthy Choice Power Bowls Turkey Sausage & Egg Scramble Power Bowls produced on various dates.”
The products were shipped to retail locations nationwide and exported to Canada, the USDA said.
There have been no reports of adverse reactions from eating the products, but the USDA urged anyone who has purchased them not to consume them.
“These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the USDA said.
