NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A stranger randomly stabbed a woman in the neck in Manhattan Monday, according to police.
The attack happened just before 6 p.m. at Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights on a road that leads to the Cloisters.
The victim, 40, said she was walking near Margaret Corbin Drive when the assailant put his hand over her mouth and then stabbed her twice in the neck.
Two good Samaritans found her lying on the road.
One was a doctor and was able to administer aid.
She was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and is expected to survive.
A description of the governor has not been released and the investigation is ongoing.
