NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Thunderstorms could return to the New York City region on Tuesday with the worst weather focused on central and southern New Jersey, which has a Flash Flood Watch in effect from 2 p.m. through this evening.
The worst will occur from the afternoon through the evening when rugged rain and thunderstorms start.
Central and southern New Jersey in particular could get flooding downpours and strong winds, with the possibility for isolated tornadoes.
The high temperature for the day will be 80.
Wednesday should be calmer, cloudy with some sun and the chance of showers south of the city, with a high near 80.
