Sonia Rincón is a reporter and anchor for 1010 WINS. You might also see her on Channel 7, occasionally filling in as a reporter.
Raised in four out of five boroughs of New York, Sonia has been a news junkie and 1010 WINS fan for as long as she can remember.
Her broadcast journalism career began at Emerson College in Boston, where she served as news director for her college radio station WERS-FM. Sonia has reported and anchored news for radio stations all over the east coast including KYW Newsradio 1060 in Philadelphia, and covered stories on TV for News 12 and CBS2 News in New York.
She also has served as an adjunct lecturer at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
Sonia lives in the Bronx, is a die-hard Yankees fan and a proud alumna of LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts. She is not related to fellow New York radio and TV reporter Kevin Rincón, although they are friends and suspect they might be long lost cousins, and have yet to verify with a DNA test.
