HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Connecticut reported eight new COVID-19 deaths and a 2.9 percent infection rate on Friday, Gov. Ned Lamont said.
Of the 23,435 COVID-19 test results that came back on Thursday, 679, or 2.9 percent, were positive, Lamont tweeted.
The eight fatalities brought Connecticut’s death toll to 4,577, data from the state’s health department shows.
As of Thursday night, 233 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, up by one from Wednesday.
