Fauci assures the world's children Santa is 'exempt' from COVID-19 because of his 'good qualities'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- With Americans being told to scale down their Thanksgiving and avoid traveling to family, one wonders what's in store for Christmas.

What about the holiday's most well-travelled figure -- Santa Claus -- who will stop by millions of homes in dozens of countries where COVID-19 is rampant.

Don't worry, Dr. Anthony Fauci, assures children.

"Santa is exempt from this because Santa, of all the good qualities, has a lot of good innate immunity," the nation's top infectious disease expert told USA TODAY.

And while the disease has been unpredictable at times, Fauci promises, "Santa is not going to be spreading any infections to anybody."
