Man charged with sexually assaulting two women within an hour in the Bronx: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Bronx man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two women within the span of an hour over the weekend, the NYPD said Tuesday.

Rashaid Todman, 37, who lives in the Melrose section of the Bronx, was arrested and charged with attempted rape, sex abuse and three counts of forcible touching on Monday evening, police said.

Police say Todman approached a 29-year-old woman inside an apartment building near East 177th Street and Morris Avenue in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday and groped her.

Approximately 30 minutes later, Todman allegedly approached a 39-year-old woman from behind near East 174th Street and Morris Avenue, forced her to the ground, pulled her pants down and tried to sexually assault her, the NYPD said.

Todman ran from the scene when the woman started to fight him off, police said.

His attorney information wasn’t immediately available Tuesday.
