NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two men sought in connection with an attempted robbery in Queens where one teen was shot in the neck over the weekend.
Just after 3 p.m. on December 20, an 18-year-old and 19-year-old boy were seated in a RAV4 in the parking lot at 138-50 Jamaica Avenue, when the two suspects approached the vehicle, officials said.
One suspect entered the car through the rear passenger side while the second suspect was stood outside the rear passenger side door, authorities said.
Both men demanded cash but the victims resisted, police said.
The suspect who stood outside of the vehicle brandished a handgun and fired it, striking the 18-year-old in his neck, according to officials.
The 19-year-old victim drove the wounded teen to Mount Sinai Hospital - Queens in critical but stable condition.
Both suspects fled on foot and no cash or property was taken.
The 19-year-old victim was not injured the NYPD said.
