VIDEO: Thieves swipe $16K in jewelry from Brooklyn psychic shop


NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two men accused of stealing $16,000 worth of jewelry from a Brooklyn store last month.

Officials said a 32-year old male employee at a Bushwick psychic store located at 1908 Weirfield Street returned to work at approximately 4:45 p.m., on Dec. 31, 2020 and discovered property missing from the store.

An investigation determined that earlier that same day at approximately 2 p.m., two unknown men forced open the secured front door of the closed establishment.

Once inside the duo removed jewelry with a total estimated value of $16,000, according to police.

The thieves then fled in a burgundy vehicle to parts unknown.

Authorities describe the men to be about 20-30 years of age.

Officials on Wednesday released surveillance video of the suspects taken from the incident location, during the incident.
