VIDEO: Man sought in 8 knifepoint robberies of livery cab drivers in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD is searching for an armed man who has been robbing livery cab drivers at knife- and gunpoint in Brooklyn in recent months.

Police released surveillance video Wednesday of the man they’re searching for in connection with at least eight robberies in and around the precincts serving Flatbush, East Flatbush and East New York.

The first robbery was on Nov. 5 and the most recent robbery was on Jan. 12, police said.

The man displayed a knife in eight of the robberies and a gun in two of the robberies, according to police, who didn’t say if any of the cabbies were injured.

The video released by police shows the suspect with a knife during a robbery on Jan. 8, police said.
