Hormel giving away bacon-scented face masks

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Meatpacker Hormel Foods is getting into the PPE game with bacon-scented face masks.

The “Black Label Breathable Bacon” masks offer “the latest in pork-scented technology with two-ply multi-fiber cloth to keep the delicious smell of bacon always wrapped around your nose and mouth,” Hormel said in a press release Wednesday.

Nick Schweitzer, senior brand manager at Hormel Black Label Bacon, said the company is “continually focused on innovation.”

“In 2020, that means connecting everyone's favorite bacon scent to the year’s 'it' accessory,” Schweitzer said.

The masks don’t just emit a meaty fragrance, they’re also adorned with images of crispy bacon.

Bacon-lovers who visit www.BreathableBacon.com through Oct. 28 can enter for a chance to receive a free, limited-edition package of "Breathable Bacon."

Hormel said it will donate one meal to Feeding America for every request on the site.
