NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A "non-scalable" fence will be built Monday at the White House to protect the residence and its occupants from possible election-related violence, NBC News reported Sunday night.

The fence will be constructed at the White House complex, Ellipse and Lafayette Square, according to NBC News White House Correspondent Geoff Bennett, who first reported the news.

The National Guard also have 250 guardsmen on standby, reporting to the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C.
