Macy’s reveals Black Friday deals on toys, home goods, and more — See the list

Like many big retailers, Macy’s is going about Black Friday a little differently this year due to the pandemic.

Macy’s announced that its Black Friday deals will begin on November 17 online and in-stores, Good Morning America reports.

The famous department store revealed to shoppers that deals can be found on items like clothing and home goods.

However, the retailer will be closed on Thanksgiving for the first time in several years. Macy’s will then reopen for Black Friday despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

While getting a head start on your holiday shopping, you’ll find deals on MAC lipsticks, aluminum frying pans for as cheap as $4.99, and Hot Wheels Monster Truck Bash Ups Vehicles for under $10. Shoppers will also find great deals on women’s UGG boots and Calvin Klein outerwear.

If you’re shopping for the holidays, you may find that it will be a year without a Santa Claus at Macy’s this holiday season.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused disruptions to many holiday traditions, including Halloween festivities and Thanksgiving gatherings.

Macy’s announced that Santa will not be greeting kids at any of their flagship stores, including those in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, due to rising coronavirus cases.

Instead, the famous department store is moving to a virtual event to “safely bring the magic of Santa Claus to children of all ages this year.” No more information has been given on this new virtual experience yet, but it will hopefully bring holiday cheer.

Throughout the country, malls have announced they will maintain the tradition but with safety precautions in place, including plexiglass barriers for a “touchless” experience.
