KFC reveals its limited-edition holiday buckets for 2020

KFC is bringing back feelings of nostalgia this holiday season with some of its most famous holiday buckets.

The fried chicken chain announced that restaurants in the United States will be serving fried chicken in holiday-themed buckets from 1966 and 1971, Fox News reports.

The buckets include an image of iconic Colonel Sanders, the face of KFC, in a Santa hat.

“KFC bucket meals have been bringing people together around the dinner table for more than 60 years,” Andrea Zahumensky, the chief marketing officer of KFC, said. “Even though the holidays may look a little different this year, we hope our holiday buckets help everyone hark back to a simpler time and bring some comfort and joy to your homes and your families throughout the season.”

KFC’s vintage buckets will available in limited quantities starting on November 24. The buckets are supposed to be almost exact replicas of the 1966 and 1971 containers “down to the smallest detail.”

If you do not receive a vintage bucket, KFC will be offering a new vintage-style bucket that features Colonel Sanders wearing a Santa hat with other “modern” designs.

“Fans can complete their holiday tablescape by collecting all three buckets in the 2020 holiday collection,” KFC wrote in its press release.
