Dad gets a viral makeover from daughter, and other 'girl dads' are joining in on the trend

One viral man on Twitter is getting “girl dad” of the year.

Brad Cubbie from Dayton, Ohio, is quickly gaining attention on Twitter after posting photo of himself after his daughter gave him an unexpected makeover.

Cubbie's daughters, Braleigh, 6, and Khloe, 10, recieved a brand new make up set from Christmas. They tested out their new products by using a rosy pink blush on their dad’s cheeks, nose, and forehead, and paired it with a bright blue eyeshadow. The girls completed the look with dark pink lip gloss.

"I'd tell them, 'You don't need makeup. You're so pretty without it.' -- just being a dad," Cubbie told Good Morning America. "And their mom, said, 'It's just for fun.'"

The father of three said his youngest daughter, Braleigh, was the ringleader in the whole operation.

The hilarious photo received nearly 600k likes, and 31k retweets since it was posted Christmas Day.

"I thought it was going to be a little blush, but she was serious," Cubbie said.

Cubbie’s viral glam makeover has encouraged other girl dads to partake in the father-daughter activity as well. Twitter user @benjitgreene replied to Cubbies video with his own version.

He captioned the post “Ain’t no way around it when you’re a girl dad bruh.” The dad joked in the video, “I look like Willy Wonka’s worst dream.”

"To see how many people it's reached and how many dads ... it's become a thread people really enjoy," said Cubbie, who is also dad to 4-year-old Kanen.

George B Alexander joined in on the fun, calling his makeover, “The official Girl Dad rite of passage.”

Another dad went for a purple eyeshadow look for the holidays.

Cubbie and his family have dedicated an Instagram page to encourage other dads to join in on the trend.
