Sophie Turner lends voice to new animated series as Princess Charlotte

Sophie Turner has a new gig lined up - and this time, she'll be a cartoon royal.

Turner has been cast as a voice actor in new show "The Prince." Writer and producer Gary Janetti announced the news on Saturday in an Instagram post, showing a scene involving Turner's character, Princess Charlotte.

The show chronicles the lives of the royals through the lens of Prince William and Kate Middleton's oldest son, Prince George. Janetti's Instagram page has long been used to satirize the royal family.

In the clip, Prince George can be seen planning for Halloween festivities dressed as a pig. He's under the impression that his two siblings will also be dressed as pigs, only to find out that they have changed course.

Prince George then addresses Charlotte, saying, "What the hell, Charlotte, what are you wearing?" Charlotte responds, "I changed my mind. Pigs are kind of gross."

Then, when Prince Louis shows up in a vampire costume, Prince George is left to rethink his costume, swearing that he won't pretend he's dressed up as Ariana Grande's pig, Piggy Smallz.

Turner took to her Instagram Stories to express her excitement over the role. "Charlotte is coming! And I couldn't be more honored to join this cast and go on this fun/filled adventure with @garyjanetti," she wrote.

Her adoring husband Joe Jonas also took to his Instagram Stories with his congratulations, writing, "Cannot wait," alongside Janetti's post about the clip.

According to People, Turner isn't the only star to voice a character in the new show. Also in the cast are Orlando Bloom as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch as Kate Middleton, Alan Cumming as George's butler, Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth, and Iwan Rheon as Prince William.

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, said of the show, "We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know — that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet."
