DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Following the Dallas Cowboys loss to the Minnesota Vikings, head coach Jason Garrett was very pointed to remind us that Kellen Moore is responsible for calling the game.
“Kellen’s calling the game. In that situation, it’s 2nd and 2. He felt like he had a good opportunity against a favorable box to run the ball in those situations. On each of those plays we had options beyond just the run” said Garrett in his weekly show with Shan & RJ on The Fan.
“We just try to communicate as an offensive staff. I certainly have input throughout the ballgame. Situationally, I have input," said Garrett. "That’s how we’ve operated all year long and that’s how we operated last night.
“I know what type of team we have," Garrett continued. "We have a lot of talent in this locker room. We can be a really good team. We just need to make sure we go out there and put that on the field. There’s a lot of football left. There’s a lot of time to get better.”
