DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy won't be calling the plays after all.

In a bit of a surprise:New #Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy suggests he’ll leave OC Kellen Moore in place as the play-caller and will leave Dallas terminology in place as well. pic.twitter.com/1Sr8ta5zWQ

According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, McCarthy informed the media Thursday that Moore would remain the play caller next season. McCarthy went on to say the offense will be a "West Coast System,' but will include the same terminology Moore and Dak Prescott are familiar with.

All along, it appeared as if McCarthy would be the one calling the plays. Just last week on 105.3 The Fan, McCarthy let it be known just how much he enjoys being in control of the offense.

"We're looking at everything. I love calling plays. Every decision that will be made will be in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys."

This is a developing news story.
