As of a few weeks ago, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones listed Sean Lee as an important transaction this offseason behind Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper.
Lee played in all 16 games in 2019. It was the first time he had played an entire season in his 10-year career. He finished the year with 86 tackles, a sack, and an interception.
The Cowboys have Jaylon Smith and hopefully a healthy Leighton Vander Esch ready to go at the linebacker position next season. Vander Esch underwent surgery to repair the nerve issue in his neck in January and team officials hope he will be available during the team's offseason program.
Despite the fact that Lee has "options" available to him, bringing back Lee makes a lot of sense for the Cowboys.
"I love it in Dallas and I love the Cowboys," Lee told Fish. "I hope it works out, for sure."
