DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys free safety Xavier Woods has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week following the Dallas win over New York on Monday night.

Woods had an interception, four tackles, a pass deflection and a forced fumble against the Giants.

Xavier Woods intercepted a third-down pass by Giants QB Daniel Jones on the ensuing series and returned it to the Giants 38, setting up Maher's go-ahead field goal on the final play.

The teams exchanged field goals in the third quarter, with a Jones fumble forced by Woods setting up Dallas.
