DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - As highly anticipated, quarterback Kyler Murray was chosen as the first pick in the kickoff of the NFL Draft Thursday night.
The Allen High School and University of Oklahoma alum went to the Arizona Cardinals and their new head coach, former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Rumors had been swirling leading up to this night of Kingsbury's desire to potentially draft the 2018 Heisman winner.
Murray also won three state championships with the Allen Eagles. This is the second time an Oklahoma Sooner has been drafted as the first pick, following Baker Mayfield.
The Seattle Seahawks have selected Texas Christian University's DE L.J. Collier in the 29th pick Thursday night. Collier is the first Horned Frog to get drafted since WR Josh Doctson in 2016.
