LeBron James may be preparing for the NBA Finals, but his son is starting to make waves in the basketball world.
247 Sports released its top 50 prospects for the 2023 recruiting class, which included LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. on the list for the first time.
The 15-year-old combo guard out of Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Los Angeles ranked at No. 30 on the list – fourth at his position and second in the state of California. The sophomore is listed at 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds and will most certainly continue to grow, which should only help his standing in the rankings.
Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina and UCLA are all listed as potential schools for Bronny.
Bronny is definitely among the most hyped recruits and his games have already garnered national attention. Last year, ESPN broadcasted 15 of Sierra Nevada’s games – whose school also included Dwyane Wade’s son, Zaire – on its various networks.
The top recruit of the 2023 class is DaJuan Wagner Jr., who plays for Camden High School in New Jersey. His father, DaJuan Wagner St., starred at the University of Memphis.
