DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - 105.3 The Fan's Shan Shariff is calling for Fox Sports to suspend "Undisputed" host Skip Bayless after he criticized Dak Prescott after the quarterback admitted in a recent interview that he had dealt with depression, while also discussing his brother's suicide for the first time.
Fox Sports reprimanded Bayless on Thursday, but didn't announce any sort of punishment for his inappropriate comments.
"When you do something like this. I'm not, Shan Omar Shariff is not going to sit here and give him a pass. I'm going to call him out. I don't care if it gets him higher ratings today. I'm going to call him a human f'ing cockroach and try to get him suspended with a quick rare window I can. Any person can get on me for giving him more attention ... I'm going to call him out. I'm not just going to ignore it and allow a cockroach to keep going around the kitchen with the lights off. We're going to turn the lights on, at least on this show. And rarely is this going to happen, but call this piece of crap out. Because what he did was over the line to a guy who was trying to be courageous."
Prescott later responded to Bayless' comments, saying he'd be a "fake leader" if he didn't speak out on his mental health struggles.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones also backed his quarterback during his appearance on 105.3 The Fan on Friday morning, saying, "Dak's willingness to be transparent and share his difficult times and share it with such stature, with class, you're just always going back to the word leadership."
