Texans won’t be signing free agent safety Earl Thomas: Report

By SportsRadio 610

(SportsRadio 610) -- Free agent safety Earl Thomas will not be signing with the Houston Texans, according to SportsRadio 610 insider John McClain.

Thomas was supposed to visit the Texans on Tuesday, but the meeting was put on hold.

"After a lot of internal discussion, Texans decided Earl Thomas wasn't a good fit," McClain reported.

Thomas was released by the Ravens during the offseason after an altercation with a teammate during training camp.

The Texans planned on bringing in multiple safeties for workouts this week, according to reports, with the seven-time Pro Bowler Thomas being the most noteworthy of the group.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan that he "is aware" that Thomas is available but declined to go into specifics about why they had yet to meet with him, as their secondary continues to struggle.
