The Fielder MLB family tree might add another branch in the next few seasons.
Six-time All-Star Prince Fielder recently shared a video of his son Jadyn blasting a titanic home run:
The 16-year-old is already 6-foot tall and 195 pounds, and attends Windermere Preparatory School in Orange County Florida. Perfect Game USA notes that he's played at second base, shortstop and in the outfield. He's slated to graduate high school in 2022.
His father, Prince, led baseball with 50 home runs in 2007. Though neck injuries forced the three-time Silver Slugger Award winner to walk away from the sport when he was 32, he still slugged 319 home runs in parts of 12 seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers.
The eldest Fielder, Cecil, was a three-time All-Star that also hit 319 home runs in a 13-year career split with the Toronto Blue Jays, Tigers, New York Yankees, Anaheim Angels and Cleveland.
So the bar is set pretty low for Jadyn - all he has to do is reach the major leagues and hit exactly 319 home runs.
