GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Brian Gutekunst announced one subtraction amid a flurry of additions to the Packers' roster, Tuesday. The Packers will cut ties with veteran pass rusher Nick Perry.

The decision to release Perry produces an $11 million dead cap figure. Perry recorded 32 sacks in seven seasons, never playing all 16 games in a season. He had a career-high 11 sacks, and started a career-high 12 games, in 2016. A first-round pick of Ted Thompson's in 2012, Perry never lived up to expectations out of USC. Mike Daniels is now the only player left on the roster from that draft class. Read the team's official statement on Perry's release, here.
