Iglesias is a signigicant signing  for the Orioles after the depature of infielder Jonathan Villar. Iglesias will sure up the infield and provide stability, particularly as a veteran player in a young, rebuilding dugout.

The Orioles will also have flexibility to further develop shortstop Richie Martin, who struggled after his call up last March.
