CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns activated running back Nick Chubb from injured reserve Saturday paving the way for him to make his return against the Houston Texans.
Chubb suffered a sprained MCL during the first half of an Oct.
4 win over the Cowboys in Arlington and missed five weeks.
The move was expected after Chubb was designated to return from IR on Monday by the team and he practiced all week – the last two days without a knee brace.
Chubb is averaging 5.9 yards per carry this season and he leads the team with four rushing touchdowns.
The Browns, who are 5-3 coming off the bye, rank fifth in the NFL in rushing this season averaging 150.0 yards per game on the ground.
