The Saints are placing receiver Michael Thomas on injured reserve, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Thomas missed practice this week and was ruled out of Sunday’s game with an ankle injury that’s kept the star pass catcher on the team’s injury report for much of the 2020 season.
Placing Thomas on Injured reserve would keep him out of the team’s final three regular season games but allow him to return for the playoffs.
Thomas missed five games earlier this year with ankle and hamstring injuries.
