The son of R&B singer Bobby Brown has died at the age of 28.
TMZ first reported that Bobby Brown Jr. was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the news later Wednesday night, LA Times reports. Police gave few details about the death, although they said it is not believed that foul play was involved.
A spokesman for the department, Officer Jeff Lee, said officials responded to a medical emergency at around 1:50pm in Encino.
“Upon officers’ arrival, there was a person down at the location,” Lee said.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bobby Jr. was the former Bobby Brown's son with Kim Ward, who the New Edition member dated prior to getting engaged to Whitney Houston.
Bobby Jr. was also the half-brother of Bobbi Kristina, Brown and Houston's daughter who passed away in 2015. Houston tragically died three years earlier in 2012.
