You may have been wondering where Cameron Diaz has been hiding out film-wise since her last role in 2014's Annie remake with Jamie Foxx.
Speaking on the Quarantined with Bruce radio show, the 48-year-old actor explained how the privilege of motherhood has affected her outlook on life and the appreciation she has for the chance to devote so much time to 2-year-old daughter, Raddix.

"I couldn't imagine, being a mom now... to have to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child. I just couldn't," Diaz explained. "I wouldn't have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life. And I feel for so many mothers who can't, that have to go to work, you know, whatever they're doing... I feel so much for them and for their children and for all that, but it does really take a village."
"I just feel so blessed that I get to be here now with my child and... get to be the mother that I get to be," she said. "It's such a blessing, it's completely privileged and I'm just really, really grateful."
"I'm never going to say never about anything in life," Diaz admits about a possible return to the big screen at some point. "I'm just not that person. So will I ever make a movie again? I'm not looking to. But will I? I don't know. I have no idea."
"She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family," the couple said in a joint statement. "While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one's privacy. So we won't be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD."
Aside from little Raddix, Diaz has had her Avaline wine brand to keep her and her fans busy. "Avaline is the only sort of day-to-day work that I'm doing other than being a wife and a mother, which has been the most... rewarding," she says.
