A West Union man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on four charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor - 2nd Degree.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office arrested 37-year old Alvin Robert Hancock, who had multiple arrest warrants out for him, on Wednesday afternoon.
The investigation into Hancock began about a year ago after a victim reported being sexually assaulted. The Criminal Investigation Division then began their investigation in February of 2019.
Evidence from the investigation suggested the sexual assault occurred during the summer and fall of 2018.
Hancock is currently being held at the Oconee County Detention Center on $80,000 combined of surety bonds.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said that the investigation is still ongoing, and no information will be given out at the moment in order to protect the victim's identity.
