"The Cops for Tots Golf Tournament has become a fun and important annual event to support children in our community. Thanks to the generosity of our community members and local businesses who make it successful, we are able to brighten the lives of many children and start to build a relationship with them," said Lieutenant Patrick Fortenberry, Public Information Officer with the Greer Police Department.

The "Cops for Tots" 15th Annual golf tournament will tee off Friday November 1st at Top Golf.

Hosted by the Greer Police Department, the fundraising campaign is to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for kids in the Greater Greer Area.

So no child has to wake up to very little, or nothing, under the tree Christmas morning.

Don't be a Grinch, if you golf, get registered by October 23rd.  If you don't, just donate.

According to a press release from Lieutenant Patrick Fortenberry, The Greer Police Department "was able to provide presents to over 200 children" last year.

This year will mark the 31st year in which the GPD have been able to make a difference in the community and in many children's lives.
