The Greenville Chamber of Commerce Thursday called for local governments to enact mask ordinances in businesses.
This statement comes following Governor McMaster calling for the same thing at a Wednesday press conference in order to help combat the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
“The Greenville Chamber believes that healthier citizens make for a more robust economic recovery,” the statement read. “The Upstate business community cannot afford another shutdown, and many businesses are still suffering from occupancy restrictions and other operational regulations. The Chamber is committed to following expert guidelines to limit the spread of coronavirus.”
