The highest honor a civilian can receive in the state of South Carolina is The Order of the Palmetto.

The award recognizes citizens for their extraordinary lifetime service and achievements of national or statewide significance.

Early last month, Seabrook Marchant, President and Broker-In-Charge of Marchant Real Estate was presented The Order of the Palmetto by Governor Henry McMaster.

Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis and Greenville Mayor Knox White were also present at the award ceremony.

Marchant said of the honor, "In this world, we stand on the shoulders of all those who have supported us... I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me and stood by my side over the years."
