The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Oconee County man yesterday morning and has charged him with three counts, including a charge of First Degree Burglary.
33 year old Marshall Daniel Fetsch, who has listed addresses of Brown Farm Road in Seneca and White Cut Road in Walhalla, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:39am Wednesday.
Fetsch has also been charged with a one count each of Petit Larceny and Assault and Battery – 3rd Degree.
Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division were dispatched to an address on Earls Mill Road near Seneca early Wednesday morning in regards to reports of an assault. Deputies spoke with the victim, who stated that a subject identified as Fetsch, entered his home without permission and assaulted him. Deputies observed a physical manifestation of injuries on the victim. The victim also stated that Fetsch took his cell phone and left the residence with a female.
Fetsch and the female later returned to the residence. Based upon evidence gathered as a result of the investigation, deputies placed Fetsch under arrest for the Assault and Battery charge and notified an investigator from the Criminal Investigations Division regarding the potential burglary and the accompanying assault.
Based upon the evidence gathered during the investigation, the investigator obtained arrest warrants from a judge against Fetsch on the First Degree Burglary and Petit Larceny charges. According to the arrest warrants, Fetsch entered the residence without consent at nighttime and assaulted the victim while also stealing the cell phone.
At this time, Fetsch remains in custody at the Detention Center on a combined $60,000 surety bond.
