With 2020 being a complete write off for much of social life as we know it, it's nice to see a summer tradition get the green light to return Seattle. The US NAVY Blue Angels will be back in August. High over Lake Washington, we'll enjoy the headliner to summer SeaFair events, August 6-8th.
2021 marks the 75th anniversary of the Blue Angels stunt team. It's also the first time in 35 years since the birds adopted a new jet for the performances, the F/A-18 Super Hornet - way to one up the murder hornet, Navy.
The Blue Angels oddly skipped posting any social media for the 2021 schedule instead directing people to their website.
Let's speculate, shall we? I imagine that with things up in the air with how the coronavirus pandemic will be sorted in the next 9 months, this is a way to not oversell the experience. If that is the case, it's tough on a major milestone like 75-years to keep the hype train in the station.
Can't wait to see what else SeaFair has planned for this summer and how they'll adapt to the pandemic challenges! Can't wait to bust out that long lens and take more photos!
