The Milwaukee Brewers' rookie reliever Devin Williams was named the 2020 National League Rookie of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA).
Williams is just the third Brewers player to win the award, joining shortstop Pat Listach (1992) and third baseman Ryan Braun (2007).
This is the second award that the 26-year-old Williams has taken home this offseason as he was also named the NL Reliever of the Year. Williams had a 4-1 record with a 0.33 ERA in 22 appearances. He held opponents to a MLB-leading .090 batting average and tied for first in strikeouts with 53.
MLB.com and Brewers.com writer Adam McCalvy joined Steve Sparky Fifer on the Wendy's Big Show OT to discuss the accomplishment by Williams. Listen below!
