Joe Burrow could miss next season after MRI shows structural damage to ACL, MCL and more

Joe Burrow's tremendous rookie season appears to be in jeopardy after the Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback had to be carted off at FedEx Field.

In the third quarter of the team's matchup with the Washington Football Team, Burrow took a scary hit, one that seemed to impact his left knee:

Both teams appeared alarmed at the state of one of one of the sport's best young quarterbacks, as he was ultimately taken back to the locker room on a cart:

The Bengals have already declared Burrow out with a left knee injury. Beyond that, we don't yet know about the severity of his injury, and whether it will cost him the rest of the season and beyond. Ryan Finley has replaced Burrow under center for the Cincinnati.

After one of the most dominant collegiate seasons ever at LSU, Burrow had been at the forefront of a fun race for Offensive Rookie of the Year with Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback Justin Hebert and Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Burrow has tossed 13 touchdowns to just five interceptions in his rookie season, and kept an otherwise underwhelming Bengals team in a majority of the games they've played this season.
