(670 The Score) Bears star pass rusher Khalil Mack was held out of practice Wednesday with an ankle injury.
Coach Matt Nagy didn't share details of Mack's injury, which may have stemmed from a play during the third quarter of the Bears' loss to the Rams on Monday night. Mack appeared to have his left ankle rolled up as Rams running back Malcolm Brown had a 12-yard run that was aided by the push of a big scrum near the goal line. Mack was in the mix on that play and went down awkwardly, immediately grabbing at his lower left leg.
Mack's status moving forward is unclear. A five-time Pro Bowler, he has 5.5 sacks in seven games this season.
The Bears also practiced without top receiver Allen Robinson (concussion), center Cody Whitehair (calf) and running back Cordarrelle Patterson (quad). Safety Eddie Jackson (knee), tight end Cole Kmet (back) and safety Sherrick McManis (hamstring) were limited. Receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and tight end Jimmy Graham took veteran rest days.
Saints star receiver Michael Thomas (ankle/hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.
The Bears (5-2) host the Saints (4-2) on Sunday at Soldier Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT.
